Odyssey Architecture ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Enquiries: your name, email, phone number, the address of the property you're asking about, and anything you tell us in your message. This comes through our website contact form, email, phone or Instagram direct messages.

Clients and projects: information needed to deliver our services, such as contact details, property and planning information, drawings, meeting notes and project correspondence.

Website: our website host may collect standard technical information, such as browser type and pages visited, to keep the site running.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry and assess your project, including researching the planning controls that apply to the property.

To provide our architectural services and manage your project.

To keep records we're required to keep, and to meet our legal and professional obligations.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Instagram messages

If you message us on Instagram, we receive your message and profile name through Meta's official messaging tools. We use them only to reply to you and record your enquiry. Conversations that aren't about a project are deleted from our records.

Service providers and overseas storage

We use trusted service providers to run our practice, including email and document storage, secure cloud databases, website hosting, and AI tools that help us sort and summarise enquiries and correspondence. Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security, and they may only use your information to provide their service to us.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and encrypted services. Only our team members who need your information can see it.

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us below. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll work to resolve it. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
